Did you know these stats about Google searches?
- 20% of the searches on Google have not been conducted in the past three months.
- 55% of the searches on Google are three words or longer.
When users search for longer phrases, they are telling you through their search queries exactly what they are looking for. The searcher has a clearer idea of what their ideal outcome is. That makes these keywords often convert much higher than general keywords.
Longer keyword queries show more specific user intent. A user who is specific in their intent is more likely to become a customer because they know exactly what they want to find. There are many opportunities for savvy marketers to find many keywords that are infrequently searched. While any one of these words will not bring an extraordinary amount of traffic, if you aggregate many of these low search volume keywords together, you can often increase your total conversions significantly.
